Library Bookcases & Large Bookcases

We now have a collection of traditional and contemporary library bookcases and large bookcases available at Harvest Moon with a wide range of styles and finishes for you to choose from.

For now we have added a small selection of traditional library and large bookcases and library ladders for you to choose from in a variety of traditional plain and painted finishes and also a few contemporary styles to give you a taste of what is on offer.

We will shortly be adding more pieces in the meantime please contact us if you can't find the style of library bookcase you are looking for including large glazed bookcases, breakfront bookcases, double, triple and corner large bookcases as we do lots of large bookcases not all as big as the one shown above!!!

As these are very large items most require some form of self assembly, we can provide this at an extra cost if required.

Artcopi Library and Large Bookcases

Artcopi library bookcases and large bookcases are traditional hand made gorgeous pieces of French furniture. At Harvest Moon we are Artcopi stockists and offer all the pieces in the current Artcopi furniture ranges. All pieces crafted from solid wild cherry and or French oak in France by time served craftsmen.

Artcopi is a family run French furniture business, established near Nantes in 1973, that takes its inspiration from the great Directoire, Empire, Regency and Louis Phillippe cabinet makers.

All Artcopi furniture pieces are hand made in France using traditional cabinet making techniques and are hand painted then waxed to give a beautiful lustruous glossy finish. Only the best natural materials are used, with solid wild cherry and French oak being the most common woods employed. Some of the painted pieces are available in a variety of diferent colour finishes, just ask! This is top of the range traditional French furniture at its best with some modern influences, and as such comes with a price tag to match!

Felix Monge Library and Large Bookcases

As well as Artcopi we also have Felix Monge traditional library bookcases and large bookcases. Each piece of Felix Monge furniture is a unique piece of reproduction Parisienne furniture.

All pieces are tinted, buffed and hand antiqued with great care and skill by master craftsmen using only the finest solid oak and French cherry woods and brass and are available in a variety of different wood colour finishes.

Felix Monge Wood Colour Finishes

The Felix Monge furniture collection is all tinted, buffed and hand antiqued with great care and skill by master craftsmen using only the finest solid oak and French cherry woods and brass and is available in a variety of different wood colour finishes as shown to the left.

Use the grid below to identify which colour is which.

The image below shows the Felix Monge Artisan 19th century Librarian's bookcase which is a beautiful reproduction of the type of furniture seen in a library in the 19th century that was used to file precious and rare books. Today, it is a very smart living room bookcase with the beautiful attention to detail that you would expect from a piece of Felix Monge furniture.

As well as Continental style large bookcases we also have a traditional Chinese style black lacquered glazed large bookcase with a cupboard at the base with contrasting unpainted wooden edging and metal handles, as shown in the image below in a customer's home.

Rouchon Large and Library Bookcases

As well as Artcopi and Felix Monge we also have Rouchon traditional library bookcases and large bookcases for furnishing your library, study or home office. Rouchon are a third generation family run French cabinet maker furniture company where all pieces are handcrafted in France by time served craftsmen using the finest walnut, oak and other solid woods and are available in a variety of different finishes including some hand painted.

The image below shows the Rouchon Esprit de Chateau C900 walnut and oak large library bookcase with an unpainted finish. This particular large library bookcase is a mix of beautiful hand carved and crafted traditional style based on antique designs coupled with modern metal shelf supports.

Like all the other Rouchon pieces this large library bookcase can be hand painted in a colour of your own choice and can be seen below with blue shelving and interior for a very different look.
